Belajar dari Rumah, Komunikasi Orang Tua-Guru Penting

Dioneg-Jambi- Komunikasi antara orang tua, guru, dan sekolah merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk mewujudkan belajar dari rumah (school from home) yang efektif jelang dimulainya tahun ajaran baru 2020-2021. Hal itu diungkapkan pemerhati pendidikan Doni Koesoema A.

"Kalau berbicara tentang kualitas pembelajaran maka komunikasi antara guru dan orang tua harus efektif," kata anggota Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) itu ketika dihubungi dari Jakarta pada Kamis (11/6).

Dia menegaskan latar belakang dan kondisi yang dimiliki oleh orang tua dan sekolah di masing-masing daerah tentu berbeda satu dengan lainnya. Namun, kedua pihak tersebut harus mempergunakan segala sarana yang tersedia untuk berkomunikasi dalam pembelajaran.

Sarana-sarana tersebut berbeda jenisnya, mulai dari yang paling canggih seperti platform belajar elektronik yang bisa diakses oleh orang tua dengan daya beli sampai dengan kondisi daerah yang tidak berlistrik dan tidak memiliki sinyal internet.

Dalam situasi seperti itu orang tua dan sekolah harus menggunakan segala opsi yang ada, seperti pembelajaran lewat telepon jika tidak bisa menggunakan internet atau bahkan guru mendatangi rumah siswa jika kondisi mengharuskan seperti itu.

"Selain itu sekolah juga harus mulai memikirkan tidak semua pembelajaran daring itu merupakan pemindahan dari yang jarak dekat," kata dosen Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) itu.

Sebelumnya, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) memutuskan tahun ajaran baru 2020-2021 tetap akan dimulai pada pekan ketiga Juli.

Namun, Kepala Biro Kerja Sama dan Humas Kemendikbud Evy Mulyani menegaskan bahwa tahun ajaran baru bukan berarti sekolah langsung menerapkan pembelajaran tatap muka.

Kemendikbud, tegas dia, masih melakukan kajian dan analisa perihal pembukaan sekolah dengan Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19.
