8 Kampus Terbaik Indonesia di Pemeringkatan Dunia QS WUR 2021


DEG-Jambi. Lembaga pemeringkatan universitas dunia Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) baru saja merilis hasil pemeringkatan QS World University Ranking untuk tahun 2021 pada hari ini, Rabu (10/6/2020). QS World University Ranking 2021 memeringkatkan 1.000 universitas terbaik dari seluruh dunia, yang mencakup 80 lokasi berbeda. Pemeringkatan QS WUR diadakan setiap tahun untuk membantu masyarakat mengenali universitas terkemuka di berbagai negara sesuai dengan rumpun atau bidang ilmu tertentu, termasuk mencari tahu universitas terbaik di Indonesia.

Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT) masih menjadi universitas yang menduduki posisi pertama sejak tahun 2020 sebagai universitas terbaik di dunia versi QS WUR 2021. Sedangkan untuk kampus Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) melesat ke peringkat 254 dunia, naik 66 peringkat dibandingkan capaian QS WUR 2020 yaitu peringkat 320 dunia. Capaian tersebut membuat UGM menjadi universitas terbaik di Indonesia menurut pemeringkatan QS WUR 2021. Rektor Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Panut Mulyono mengatakan hasil tersebut membuktikan kepada dunia bahwa UGM mampu bersaing secara global.

“Walaupun ranking bukan tujuan utama yang kita kejar, namun capaian ini adalah prestasi yang sangat membanggakan bagi UGM. Hasil ini membuktikan kepada dunia bahwa UGM mampu bersaing secara global. Capaian ini merupakan hasil kerja keras semua pemangku kepentingan,” kata Panut, Rabu (10/6/2020) seperti dilansir dari laman UGM. Pemeringkatan yang dilakukan oleh QS WUR 2020 didasarkan pada enam kriteria utama, yaitu: Academic reputation Employer reputation Citations per faculty Faculty-students ratio International faculty International students
