Rapat Koordinasi Perekrutan Mahasiswa Internasional dan Peralihan Kepengurusan PMI: UIN STS Jambi Mantapkan Strategi Sosialisasi ke Malaysia dan Thailand

Jambi, 26 Maret 2025 — UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi melalui Pusat Layanan Kerja Sama Internasional (PLKI) LPPM menyelenggarakan Rapat Koordinasi terkait perekrutan mahasiswa baru internasional dan peralihan kepengurusan Persatuan Mahasiswa Internasional (PMI). Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh perwakilan mahasiswa asal Malaysia dan Thailand.

Rapat ini menghasilkan beberapa keputusan penting. Salah satunya adalah peralihan kepemimpinan PMI dari Khai, mahasiswa asal Malaysia, kepada Hisyam. Pergantian ini diharapkan membawa semangat baru dalam mendukung program internasionalisasi kampus.

Selain itu, PLKI akan berkoordinasi lebih lanjut dengan perwakilan kampus mitra di Malaysia dan Thailand untuk mengadakan sosialisasi aktif terkait program studi dan fasilitas yang ditawarkan UIN STS Jambi kepada calon mahasiswa asing.

Dion Ginanto, Koordinator PLKI LPPM UIN STS Jambi, menyampaikan harapannya terhadap kepengurusan baru PMI. “Kami berharap Hisyam dan tim PMI yang baru dapat bersinergi dengan PLKI dalam proses sosialisasi kampus ke luar negeri. Dengan kolaborasi ini, kami optimis jumlah mahasiswa internasional yang bergabung di UIN STS Jambi akan terus meningkat,” ujarnya.

Rapat ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam memperkuat daya saing UIN STS Jambi di tingkat internasional, khususnya di kawasan Asia Tenggara.

UIN STS Jambi Extends Eid al-Adha Blessings to Overseas Students

JAMBI-  UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) Jambi distributed sacrificial meat packages to international students on 28 May 2026, marking Eid al-Adha with a gesture of inclusivity. The event took place in front of the former Faculty of Ushuluddin building. The initiative was aimed at allowing foreign students to experience the holiday as they would at home, while extending blessings to the wider university community. Thai students Anwar and Baliya received packages from Vice Rector I, while Malaysian students Adam and Azmi were presented with gifts by Vice Rector II and Vice Rector III.
