Cara Menghapus Database Turnitin Sehingga Tidak Lagi Terdeteksi Palgiarisme hingga 80-100%

 

Halo sobat sekalian,

Pernahakan Anda mengalami kasus di mana paper Anda terdeteksi Plagiarisme hingga 80-100%, padahal pada saat awal Anda cek turnitin, hanya sekitar 5%-20%. 

Pasti sedih ya karena jurnal atau dosen yang mengecek tulisan kita, mereka menganggap bahwa tulisan kita adalah hasil dari copy paste dari karya orang lain. Faktanya, tulisan tersebut murni Karya Anda. 

Ternyata kasus ini terjadi karena settingan Turnitin Anda belum dirubah ke "No Repository". Jika setingan Anda bukan pada "No Repository" maka, paper yang Anda submit ke Turnitin akan tersimpan pada database mereka. Sehingga ketika ada orang lain yang melakukan cek plagiasi, otomatis akan terdeteksi dari database yang notabene adalah paper Anda sendiri. Alhasil, tentu dapat dipastikan minimal kesamaan tulisan mencapai 85%. 

Nah, untuk merubah setting turnitin agar tidak tersimpan didatabase, dapat mengikuti video berikut ini: 

Menghapus Database/Repository Turnitin

Lalu bagaimana cara menghapus repository Turnitin. Jangan khawatir, Anda masih dapat menghapus database tersebut dengan cara menghubungi admin lokal tempat Anda mengkasses Turnitin. Jika Anda adalah dosen atau mahasiswa, maka Anda dapat menghubungi admin Turnitin yang biasanya ada di kantor LPPM kampus. Admin, kampus nantinya yang akan menerukan pada admin Turnitin pusat. Berikut adalah template surat untuk admin lokal. 

Subject: Request to Permanently Delete Papers from my Storage

Dear Turnitin's administrator at UIN Jambi,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to request your permission to permanently delete papers from my database. Here are my class ids and submission IDs:

Lalu, ada kasus baru nih. Jika Anda sering melakukan cek palgiasi untuk mahasiswa Anda, maka sering pula Anda menghapus data-data lama. Padahal, untuk dapat menghapus database Turnitin, itu hanya bisa dilakukan oleh admin di pusat yang berada di luar negeri sana. Hal yang bisa kita lakukan adalah dengan mengirim email kepada admin turnitin sambil menyertakan Submission ID. 

Jika file sudah dihapus dali akun turnitin, otoamits submission ID juga terhapus. Lalu bagaimana cara menampilkan kembali submission ID yang pernah kita hapus?
