LP2M UIN SUTHA Jambi Menggelar WARKOP Lecture Series #1

Jambi- Bertempat di ruang perpustakaan LP2M UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, Pusat Penelitian LP2M mengadakan acara WARKOP BROWN-BAG Lecture Series #1 dengan Tema Polyglots pada hari Jumat, 26 Maret 2021. Menjadi fasilitator bedah jurnal kali ini adalah adalah Dr. Noprival, MA. Dr. Noprival adalah dosen Pasca Sarjana UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, dan baru saja menyelesaikan program dokotral di UIN Jakarta. Dr. Novrival juga pernah menempuh short course di Michigan State University, Amerika Serikat. 

Kegiatan Bedah Jurnal yang dikemas dengan brown-bag ini dibuka oleh Dr. Ayub Mursalin, MA., ketua LP2m UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. Dalam sambutannya, Dr. Mursalin mengharapkan kepada peserta agar dapat menimba ilmu, menggali potensi yang dimiliki fasilitator agar nantinya dapat tertular kesuksesan Dr. Noprival yang telah menerbitkan beberapa jurnal terindeks Scopus dan WOS.

Pada sesi ini, Dr. Noprival, MA membahas tentang Polyglots atau seseorang yang mampu berbicara beberapa bahasa asing. Fenomena polyglots saat ini tengah ramai dibicarakan, salah satunya dengan kemunculan Fiki Naki youtuber yang menguasai beberapa bahasa Asing meski tidak mengikuti kursus apapun. Dalam Lecture Series kali ini, Dr. Noprival juga mengupas: pengalaman, motivasi, dan strategi bagaimana seseorang bisa menjadi Polyglots. Di akhir bedah jurnal, Dr. Noprival juga memberkan kiat dan tips agar dapat menembus Jurnal Q1 tanpa biaya.

Peserta yang terdiri dari unsur dosen dan mahasiswa pasca sarjana, terlihat sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan bedah jurnal yang juga dikemas dengan tips dan trik menerbitkan artikel ke jurnal terindeks Scopus dan WOS. Terbukti dengan banyaknya pertanyaan di tengah dan di akhri sesi.
