Silaturahmi Mahasiswa Thailand di Jambi: Seimbangkan Akademik dan Non-Akademik untuk Sukses Studi

Jambi, 6 Februari 2025 — Suasana hangat dan penuh kekeluargaan mewarnai acara silaturahmi dan halal bihalal yang digelar bersama mahasiswa internasional asal Pattani, Thailand. Acara ini berlangsung di kediaman Dr. Dion Ginanto, Koordinator Pusat Layanan Kerja Sama Internasional (PLKI) LPPM UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi.

Selain untuk mempererat hubungan antar mahasiswa dan pihak kampus, kegiatan ini juga dimanfaatkan sebagai ajang diskusi santai seputar kiat sukses menyelesaikan studi tepat waktu. Para mahasiswa berbagi pengalaman dan tantangan yang mereka hadapi selama menjalani perkuliahan di Indonesia, baik dalam aspek akademik maupun non-akademik.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Dr. Dion Ginanto menekankan pentingnya keseimbangan antara kegiatan akademik dan non-akademik. “Keberhasilan studi tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kemampuan akademik, tetapi juga oleh keterampilan sosial, manajemen waktu, dan kemampuan beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru,” ujarnya.

Ia juga berharap agar silaturahmi seperti ini dapat terus berlangsung secara rutin. “Kami ingin menjadikan pertemuan seperti ini sebagai sarana diskusi yang konsisten, agar mahasiswa internasional merasa lebih nyaman, terfasilitasi, dan termotivasi selama menjalani pendidikan di UIN STS Jambi,” tambah Dion.

Kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan ramah tamah dan makan bersama, menambah keakraban antara mahasiswa dan pembina PLKI dalam suasana kekeluargaan yang hangat.

UIN STS Jambi Extends Eid al-Adha Blessings to Overseas Students

JAMBI-  UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) Jambi distributed sacrificial meat packages to international students on 28 May 2026, marking Eid al-Adha with a gesture of inclusivity. The event took place in front of the former Faculty of Ushuluddin building. The initiative was aimed at allowing foreign students to experience the holiday as they would at home, while extending blessings to the wider university community. Thai students Anwar and Baliya received packages from Vice Rector I, while Malaysian students Adam and Azmi were presented with gifts by Vice Rector II and Vice Rector III.
