Overview

The Jardine Foundation was set up in 1982 to mark the 150th anniversary of the Jardine Matheson Group. The Foundation offers students from across the Group’s markets full scholarships to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. The goal is to develop future leaders who will give back to their communities. Scholarships are available for courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The Foundation has strong relationships with a number of colleges at both universities and strong preference is given to applications to these colleges:

University of Cambridge – Downing, Magdalene, Peterhouse, Trinity

University of Oxford – Exeter, Oriel, The Queen’s, Trinity

Since the launch of the Foundation, scholarships have been awarded to over 400 outstanding students from Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Students may apply for all courses offered at our network Colleges

Eligibility

Applicants must normally be within seven years of having completed secondary school education, at the date of entry to any one of our network Colleges, and must:

  1. have reached an academic standard to qualify for entry to one of the Colleges.
  2. be resident in any of the countries or territories in which Jardine Matheson Group has significant business interests, including Cambodia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. For applications from Singapore, male applicants must have either completed or be exempted from National Service.

    Generally, applications will not be accepted from candidates whose parents have not resided in such relevant country or territory for at least seven years prior to the proposed date of entry to University.

  3. be in a satisfactory state of health.

Applications will not be considered for a study programme leading to a second undergraduate degree or a study programme which is already being pursued.

Applications will not be considered from students who have already been awarded and accepted other full scholarships to study overseas at the time of application. 

Tenure and conditions

Under the Undergraduate Scheme, scholarships may be awarded for a duration of three or four years to study for any subject offered by one of the Foundation’s network colleges.

(a) University of Oxford:      

  • Exeter College
  • Oriel College
  • The Queen's College
  • Trinity College

(b) University of Cambridge:

  • Downing College
  • Magdalene College
  • Peterhouse
  • Trinity College

Scholarships are conditional upon the candidate being offered and taking up a place at one of the above network Colleges. Scholarship awards will not be confirmed by the Scholarship Committee until the candidate has been accepted by one of the network Colleges.

All Scholarship Awardees shall abide to the Regulations Governing Scholarships.

Basis of selection

In making awards, the Scholarship Committee will, in addition to academic achievement, consider the following factors:

  1. personal qualities and character, including exceptional qualities of leadership and fellowship;
  2. achievements in non-curricular activities, including sports;
  3. community involvement and activities; and
  4. other attributes that, in the opinion of the Committee, indicate the applicant is likely to become an outstanding citizen with a high commitment to the performance of public duties and/or community involvement.

Jadwal UTBK 2020 & SBMPTN Terbaru: Pendaftaran Juni, Tes Bulan Juli

FOTO/Istockphoto tirto.id - Lembaga Tes Masuk Perguruan Tinggi (LTMPT) memastikan Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer (UTBK) 2020 tetap akan dilaksanakan meski jadwalnya diubah karena dampak pandemi corona (Covid-19).  Hal ini diketahui dari penerbitan surat edaran resmi LTMPT Nomor 11/SE.LTMPT/2020 yang terbita pada Senin, 6 April 2020.  Melalui surat edaran resmi tersebut, Ketua Tim Pelaksana LTMPT Mohammad Nasih mengumumkan jadwal pelaksanaan UTBK 2020 resmi berubah. Jadwal pendaftaran UTBK dan Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN) 2020 juga berubah. Demikian pula jadwal pengumuman SBMPTN 2020.  Adapun jadwal UTBK dan SBMPTN 2020 yang terbaru adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Pendaftaran UTBK dan SBMPTN dilaksanakan pada tanggal 2-20 Juni 2020 2. Pelaksanaan UTBK 2020 berlangsung pada 5-12 Juli 2020 3. Pengumuman SBMPTN 2020 dilaksanakan pada 25 Juli 2020.   Menurut Nasih, pendaftaran UTBK dan SBMPTN 2020 dilakukan secara bersamaan

Cerita Sebelumnya  Sumur Tua SMANDALAS (1)   Sumur Tua SMANDALAS (2) Sumur Tua SMANDALAS (3) Sumur Tua SMANDALAS (4) Matahari seakan enggan terbit di atas langit SMANDELAS. Awan seolah terlihat muram. Suara burung yang biasa berkicau di pepohonan depan kelas, kini seolah menghilang. Hening, hanya rekaman bel pertanda pergantian jam pelajaran yang selalu memecah kesunyian. Lima hari berlalu. Jamal belum diketemukan. Polisi belum juga mendapatkan klue. Sekolah telah berusaha mencari keberadaan Jamal, siang dan malam. Seluruh warga sekolah digerakkan. Tapi belum juga membuahkan hasil yang signifikan. Diko, Rudi, Riko, dan Juno seolah tak lagi mendapat kepercayaan. Setelah kejadian pencarian Jamal di sumur, mereka berempat tak pernah lagi diajak bertukar fikiran untuk mencari keberadaan Jamal. Terkahir kalinya, mereka dimintai keterangan oleh pihak Polres Batanghari. Setelah itu, mereka ditinggalkan.   Namun, Diko malah termotivasi untuk membuktikan bahwa ada
